Absolutely. I have used Athalon boot bags and board bags multiple times ski trips where I've had to check my bags on a plane. They provide good protection for your equipment and have been really durable.

I recently Purchased this bag. I am quite happy with it but it does not have any padding. As for the sizing i do not know. Its a basic bottom of the line bag. Works great for me.

the bag is padded and very nice. dont know about the lengths available although i bought the 165cm and think it would hold a 170cm bag as it is roomy. also fits boots and helmet!

I don't know if there is a larger size bag. This fits my 163 cm snowboard. The inside of the bag is not padded by my judgement. If the manufacturer claims padding, it is thin. Otherwise, the bag seems durable. I would not use it for checked baggage on airplane.
