Comments about Sierra Designs Sierra Designs Tengu 3-person Tent:
okay, after a year and camping at several dam release weekends and some canoe tripping, I've found my Tengu 3 does leak a little; not objectionable and something I'll address with some waterproofing fabric treatment.Set-up is absolutely marvelous, quicker than friends solo tents, quickest set up I've seen. Design lends itself well to whitewater paddlers who are always seeking rainy days and wet conditions. Vestibule is great to store wet gear after a paddle, cooler, shoes etc.. Set up in rain it's the best since fly is attached; no soaking the tent while attaching fly like other tents. Very sturdy, I'm really pleased.

Comments about Sierra Designs Sierra Designs Tengu 3-person Tent:
Set up the tent about 7 miles into the backwoods just as it started to rain. It is a little on the heavy side, but not too much so that it isn't usable as a backpacking tent, especially if you can split up weight of other gear with a buddy. Because of the Euro-style fly, the inside of the tent stayed nice and dry despite the rain that was already falling--a major bonus in my book.
It rained steadily all night, but we stayed completely dry. The huge vestibule was plenty big enough to keep all of our gear dry.
Like most "3-man" tents, it could fit 3 in a pinch, but you're better with 2 and a dog like we camped.

Just got my Tengu and have only used it once. Set up is amazingly quick and easy.Just make sure connector on poles has groove side down. I love the large vestubule as well. Camped on a cold clear night so I can't comment on watertightness. If it passes rain test I'll add that last star.
