Yes it's light but it's way too open if you choose not to put up the fly. I had to keep the fly on for some privacy and the air circulation was poor at best. The tent was quite Hot in the sun. The tent was wet in heavy dew and it made me wonder what it would be like in a substantial rain? I cannot recommend it and will be trying to sell mine.
