Comments about Kelty Kelty Radiant 2 Tent:

I used the tent on a hiking trip on the palmetto trail and a short section of the AT. It has worked great and kept me dry through a pretty bad storm. I would recommend keeping as many vents as you can open for condensation. The tent is a little difficult to set up but once you get the hang of it it's not bad. This tent was a great buy for the money and is highly recommend.

Comments about Kelty Kelty Radiant 2 Tent:

Mainly this tent will be used for hunting in the winter months of the Southeastern part of the USA. I will be hiking some of the A.T. in the spring also. The weight for a 4 season is slightly better than middle of the road at about eight pounds with the foot print. I did seam seal the floor seam. The fly was taped well enough that it needed no futher attention on my part. There were only to minor things I took exception too. One of them I knew about before the purchase. It's got smaller vestabules then I like. The roof vents only have one zipper in both top vents. This means that when closed you chance a water leak with a super heavy rain. If there were two zippers in the top vents. You could close both to the top of the vent back inside the area of the fly opening. Thus leaving less chance for water to enter. The tent has not leaked since I have used it. This is just a concern of mine so far. I have seen 4 season tents that weigh almost twice what this one weighs. At more the twice the cost too. At under two hundred bucks its a steal.(includes cost of footprint) When setting up for the first time, take it easy with the middle pole. It can be a bear to place the end of the pole in the hole grommet at the base of the tent. It took me a couple times of setting it up for me to get used to it. All and all it looks like a worthy tent for my use's. plenty of room inside for two. Not much room for the backpacks in the vestabules. You'll have to crawl over your backpack to get out. Something I can deal with for the price. I see many years of use in the Radiant2
