Comments about Eureka Eureka Pinnacle Pass 2XTA Tent:

My review is based on my initial set-up evaluation and not based on outdoor use (yet to come). The set-up is by far the easiest I've seen for a tent. The overall simplicity is a huge factor when you're outdoors (usually in low light). There's nothing more frustrating than scratching your head wondering where the hell "this pole" goes. The weight of the tent was also a factor...very light. I also like the dome style tent because of the high center; nice for playing cards or whatever with a partner. I would recommend getting better stakes (I replaced mine with the stakes from my North Face solo tent). The stakes included are the hook/nail-spike kind that have always failed me. In high wind they turn in the ground (especially wet ground) and release the cord resulting in a flapping vestibule/fly. They also include two yellow ABS plastic stakes of which I am not a fan because these require a hammer (more weight) and are NOT indestructable as they claim (try using a hammer and pounding it into an underground rock). My only other problem was the stuff sack. Its just a hair too small. I really had to push hard to get the rolled up tent inside and split the single-seam stitch about 1 inch on the first try (not a good sign). I'd think with overall weight already being light Eureka could make the stuff sack a little tougher or at least double-stitched. To sum it all up, I would definitely buy this again and this site was the cheapest I found anywhere. [...] A great value. I'll review this again after I field test it.
