Comments about Eureka Eureka Grand Manan 7 Tent:
Recently used for the first time on a 3-day camping trip. Key advantages of this tent are:
- The tent design really does create more usable space
- Easy to set up
- The double vestibule area is great for keeping shoes, etc. dry and outside of the tent
- Ventilation options are amazing, unlike any other tent
Don't bother with Eureka footprint for this tent. Their footprints are a bit thicker than a garbage bag... don't really provide protection. A 5x8 tarp is a better footprint.
Comments about Eureka Eureka Grand Manan 7 Tent:
There was enough room for 2 adults and an air mattress & not much more. But, if that is all the space you need, this is a nice little tent. The tent kept out the rain (I did seal the seams), vented well, was stable in high winds and when closed up was warm. This tent is way too heavy for backpacking, but I like it as a small car camping tent or base camp (with a short hike in).
Comments about Eureka Eureka Grand Manan 7 Tent:
Liked the fly feature of being able to use the vestibule flap as an awning. GUESS WHAT? THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN ON THE GRAND MANAN 7. It is not designed that way. I sent the fly back thinking it was not made properly and that is the feedback I received. Although it's advertised that way on various sites, and even shows it on the box with the extension poles as accessories for that purpose, IT WON'T HAPPEN. Ottherwise, it's a nice tent.
