Comments about Kelty Kelty Light Year Climashield XP 20F Sleeping Bag - Long Size:

I hate reviews where the reviewer has actually not used the product, but this is one of those. After extensive research, cost/weight/features comparisons I chose the Light Year. I am sending it back for the following reasons.

1. Because of the footbox vent zipper, the insulation in the bottom/foot area is only 1/4" thick. I'm cold-footed so I just couldn't bring myself to trust it to keep my feet warm.

2. Nix the foot zip and give me a full side zipper, not a 3/4 length zipper = difficult entry/exit! I think I would rather control my temp using a full zip instead of trying to reach way down to a zipper on the very bottom of the bag. It may be functional for ventilation, but it's not practical in use.

On the plus side, the rest of the bag is well-made and the Climashield XP seemed to be very warm when I tried the bag out for fit. If you have warm feet, you may like this bag. It is very lightweight and compact.
