Comments about Kelty Kelty Cosmic 20F Down Bag - Long Size:

I have been eyeballing this bag for a couple months now, wanted a quality down bag but at the same time didn't want to break the bank. This bag is it! I'm 6' tall and 210 lbs with broad shoulders, hips and legs so it's really hard for me to find a mummy bag that doesn't wear like a latex glove (i was considering the Kelty "Coromell" down semi-rectangular bag for this reason). When i bought this bag I opted for the "long" size and it was a great choice. Even though I'm wide there is room to move, turn, lay on my side, etc. . And though it is a great value ($$) Kelty did not go cheap on the quality. The zipper is smooth and durable, the fill fluffs quickly, the cinch cords pull nicely and it's not advertised buy there is a second zipper attached that pulls from the bottom upward allowing you to have a sort of "vent" for warmer nights. The weight is great, just over 2 lbs and the pack size listed is spot on (7"x14"). It's a great bag and, to be honest, I'm not sure why i haven't seen more of a fuss being made about it. Maybe it's because the Kelty "Cosmic" line was originally a lower-end synthetic series of bag. Either way, if you're in the market for a quality down sleeping bag and your looking at this one just grab it now while it's on sale. Excellent bag.
