Comments about GoLite GoLite RS Synthetic 40F Sleeping Bag Quilt - Regular:

Just got back from using this quilt on a trip down the S. Fork of the Flathead in MT. It got down to 40, and even wearing every piece of clothing I owned and a Sea To Summit silk liner, I was very cold. I was initially interested in this quilt for it's lightweight design, and purported 40 degree temp rating. Sadly, this thing takes time/work to attach to your pad (an already frustrating task when you are possibly cold, wet, and tired),and is nowhere near warm enough for anything approaching summer camping temperatures in the Northwest. It is also too short. A regular is supposed to work up to 6'0 but being 6 foot myself, I found it to be much too short. I can't imagine this quilt being of any use to even the most ardent ultralight hikers. Quite disappointed.
