i bought this bag for my trip to arizona and utah just because i HATE regular luggage. i want to strap something on my bag and go. this bag kept expanding and expanding. it held my weeks worth of clothes, toiletry bag and 2 books. i removed the back support to give it a more duffel bag feel. i love this bag. its not just for hiking.

This pack is in between my two other packs. I carry ultralight gear with 4 liters of water in this pack with good comfort. It is just large enough with a good, simple hipbelt design. I don't require all the external strap on pieces but I do like the stiff internal frame even though it increases the total weight. I use a 3L hydration bladder inside it. This one fit me the best but I like taller packs that do not have wrapping shoulder straps.
