I love North face packs, they are well designed and comfortable. For the price this will be hard to beat. Seems more durable to me than the Osprey packs I have had, not to say they are bad either. The only thing I would have liked to see on this are adjustable straps on the bottom for tent or pad.

I bought this pack a few weeks ago in anticipation of a one month backpacking trip I am taking to Europe this summer. However, I have had the opportunity to break it in so I wish to share my experiences with the pack to justify my high rating of this product. Fist off, it is an extremely light pack (this is not only a general statement but also a complement considering the packs deceivingly good size). Secondly it has both top and bottom access to the main compartment (a feature often overlooked on packs this size). Third, it has the best shoulder straps I have ever experienced on any pack (it is also worthwhile to note that the straps are extremely long on both the shoulder straps and the waist harness so it will fit the vast majority of the population comfortably). Lastly, it has plenty of straps for tweaking the fit. A great buy and a product of the highest build quality.

I bought this for school. I load it up with books in the main pocket. food in the side pockets and calculator n stuff in the front pocket. My only complaint is that the hip straps dont fold into the bag but are perpetually out. this is a nucence when i put it on the ground as the hip straps are everywhere. other than that prettey good. cool looking, disperese the weight well. could use more pockets but no deal breakers.
