Comments about Mountainsmith Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Pack:

I use this bag to carry around books of novel size and slightly larger. It will also be great when hiking season comes around and I want to go for a half-day hike. Big enough to carry a few books and light weight jacket plus water, trail mix, small first aid kit etc.

Comments about Mountainsmith Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Pack:

I bought and promptly returned competing products from Overstock and REI, this one is fantastic. The others had no visable defects but would unbuckle with large steps up boulders or bending over.
This is an excellent product with huge capacity, lots of pockets to store things and the (2) pockets for water bottles.

Comments about Mountainsmith Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Pack:

Not the lightest lumber pack but the ability to compress loads tightly against back makes this a very comfortable LARGE fanny pack. I have tried others and this one is the most comfortable. 2x pockets will accept 1 liter bottles. Great bag, will find much use for urban, birding, hiking and general fitness walking.

Comments about Mountainsmith Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Pack:

I love this bag. I actually use it as a diaper bag. I don't like big bulky bags. This has just enough room for the essentials: diapers, sippys, snacks. and I can take it hiking. My only complaints are these: It could use another pocket.(there's only one small one inside) and the shoulder strap is constantly slipping off my shoulder.
