I purchased this pack for my 11 yr old son and boy scouting, this was this first time he has ever used a back pack, this was a very wise purchase, there was never any complaining about shoulders hurting, or problems with the straps coming loose, I did however modify the lower portion to accomadate the sleeping bag. I would not hesitate to buy this product for myself.
