I am tall and some packs can hurt my back. This one does not. It is adjustable and makes a perfect fit. My back stays well ventilated too.

this pack has a great, comfortable suspension system. the only problems i had with it was the stretch pockets are not water proof and the bag lacked a sleeping bag compartment divider. when i talked to the designer of the bag, he said he "wanted to make the bag as light as possible so they took out the compartment." obviously BS as it would only weigh a few ounces, and the second hood on the bag adds much more weight overall than any compartment divider would. If i could do it again, i would buy another bag and wait till next year when kelty puts out the new slider (which will have the sleeping bag compartment divider).

This is the third pack that I’ve used in my time as a backpacker, and I will be honest when I say that it is, by far, my favorite. The technology used in the design and construction of this pack boggles the mind. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, and went to the Kelty website to find the manual on exactly how to adjust the framing. The zippers are waterproof, and the two separate hoods are nice to have. The top loading stay-open function works well, and is very handy to have. The entire pack holds the weight up and forward, where it should be, and the padding all around makes it very comfortable. I would recommend this to any of my hiking club, and even complete strangers. A good buy!
