This pack is nice. 2650 is biggerthan I expected...I was expecting more of a school bookbag size. If you are, get the 1800. It smells new, like that chemical smell when you buy a pair of sneakers. The pack is fine but Sunny sports sent the wrong color. It is NOT SILVER/BLACK. It is GRAY/OLIVE GREEN.

This is a great slightly larger than average day pack. I received it on time and had a great experience ordering. The size is perfect for a 2-3 day overnight minimalist packer. I'm using it for a 7 day backpacking trip through Costa Rica and it looks like it will be sturdy enough for everything I have planned. The silver/charcoal color is very conservative and is more gray than shiny silver. The bag itself is slightly larger than a school bag but I like that aspect. Also the frame and the amount of pockets is a nice touch to a great design. I plan to use it as a carry-on bag and not deal with the stress of keeping up with multiple bags on buses. Great minimalist backpack for short trips!

Kelty Redwing internal packs are the best. Great look, great price, well made, very comfortable. The only drawback is that the zipper of the main compartment doesn't open all the way down to the base. This makes stuff stored at the bottom of the pack less accessible.

I'm a female with a 17" torso and this 2650 fits me perfectly. I can easily fit my tent, thermarest, blanket, camelback, food, small stove, and change of clothes in it. This is a great 30lb. pack. I've owned other Kelty products and have always been happy with the quality. Although I haven't hiked with it in really hot weather, I like the padding and I think the ventilation should be ok. It's also great to use as a carry-on for air travel.
