Used this pack at Philmont Scout Ranch in 2010. Worked well. Adjustment strap on waist wanted to loosen up, tied ends in a half hitch and it worked well.

Great for long excursions, packing a lot of gear with sleeping bag. Different compartments and separate hydration compartment along with pockets and carrying handle to load and unload. Comfortable to wear for extended hikes. Great for hiking, mountaineering or even short weekend adventures. Highly recommended, after reviewing and looking at many different options decided to purchase for quality construction, look and feel. Great service from retailer.
