Comments about Kelty Kelty Red Cloud 110 Internal Pack - Java:
Bought this pack recently for an upcoming backpack trip through Utah's Capitol Reef NP and Colorado's hunter-Frying Pan Wilderness. Have used it a few times on a couple of short over night tune-up hikes and it performed very well.
This pack is definitely for someone looking to go out into the wilderness for extended periods of time. Great suspension system that stays put for me, even with 60 pounds inside. This pack can hold just about anything you could imagine. I can fit my sleeping bag, tent (poles and all), 100L camelback, clothes, stove, water filter, food, and 10 Essentials for a 5-7 day trip. Not to mention a sleeping pad that fits perfectly on the outside of the pack. This thing as my kids would say is, "Beast".
The only thing that I am not too crazy about is the weight. However, when purchasing a 110L pack one sort of goes into it knowing the thing is huge. Also dont like how flimsy the closures are but after my trip this summer I plan on replacing them with after market closures anyway. For the money this pack is perfect for any backpacker. I cannot justify spending $400+ on another monster pack just because it has a different name brand. This pack ranks right up there with Osprey and Gregory for half the price and all the same bells and whistles.
