I bought two of these (one for me and one for a friend) for day hunting day or extended day hunting trips in Colorado. I think this is an excellent bag for just that need! I just wish it had a few extra exterior pockets for gadgets and the like! That seems to be the case when you are trying to go lighter, you should carry less stuff and therefore need less pockets! I just haven't gotten that down yet!
