It is built real sturdy. My son loves to ride in it. It is a little awkward to load him onto my back but that is because his is 32lbs! Once he is up, it's great!

We bought the kid carrier after seeing a friend with it and I couldn't be happier. This item is well built, comfortable and has a ton of bells and whistles. My 7 month old son loves riding in it and gets excited when he sees me take it out. He really likes being able to sit suspended or stand to stretch out.
I have gone on several hour long snowshoeing trips with the pack loadedwith no discomfort at all...in fact, I was surprised how well distributed the weight was; almost to the point that it felt lighter than it really was.

The auto stand is great and the pack is very adjustable. My only complaint is the vagueness of the instructions regarding adjusting the lower back pad.

Id but this again and recommend it to anyone who wants to take a kids on a hike...especially at the price here.
