I have owned one of these packs for 8 or 9 years and we have used it on every hiking trip/day outing I can remember.
Structurally, it is like new, a little dirty, but, like new.
I just bought two more, now that one of us isn't carrying one of the kids and they are older, it's time to split the item carrying load amongst us.
I also wanted to make sure each group had a means to easily carry some survival gear in case we somehow got split up.
The mesh pockets on the side are great for water bottles, now we'll be sure to have plenty of water for the whole family should we get lost.
