Constructed of bombproof Dyneema gridstop nylon, the Pinnacle is the ultimate large volume ultra-lite pack. Foam padding in the back and hip belt wings provides support, and Brock foam padding beefs up the spacer mesh shoulder straps to ensure long-lasting comfort. A large front pocket with a watertight zip and two side angled stretch mesh pockets provide easy access to stored items, and two side compression straps plus the comPACKtor system neatly decompress unused pack space for smooth hauling.

The comPACKtor system makes your GoLite pack far more versatile by enabling you to reduce your pack's volume through the use of two fixed compression anchor clips. How to use: with the pack empty, simply connect the two fixed compression anchor clips. Instantly, your pack volume and profile is smaller for shorter duration trips.

Very light pack that is compressable and fairly comfortable. The foam frame sheet is nearly useless though and something stiffer will keep the pack from bending in the middle when loaded heavy. I put about 20# in it and hiked around for an afternoon. I had to play around getting it comfortable at first but had trouble with the pack wanting to fold in the middle. I will get rid of the foam insert and get something stiffer like that plastic corrigated sign material to help keep the pack straight. Very light but not much for venting the area in the middle of your back, I got a little sticky there. [...]

I bought the larger sized Grey Pack. It has one large main compartment, a smaller zip up front pocket, and two side mesh pockets that are great for storing water bottles. It's frameless, so it's ultralight. Lots of padding, and pretty adjustible. Needs a waterproof cover, the top doesn't zip, it cinches and then rolls down to buckle. You need a waterproof cover for just about any pack anyway though. Not good if you like a pack with lots of tiny pockets and zippers. It's basic, which I like, and is why I got it! Also, great price. Can't beat it.

Pay no attention to the first reviewer.The fact that the description is poor has nothing to do with the quality or function of the pack! This person obviously didn't do their homework before buying this pack. Always go to the manufacturers website to get the details on a product.For ultralight packbacking this is a very good choice.

Beware! This item HAS NO INTERNAL FRAME! Despite the title there is no frame in this backpack. This backpack is poorly named by GoLite and poorly categorized under 'Frame/style-Internal' by Sunnysports.
