i use this for short hikes. the insulation keeps the water cool even after 3 hours. a few slip in pockets to store chocolate/trail food would be nice.
for longer hikes, i put it inside my camelbak backpack which has another insulated compartment. heavier but my water remains adequately cold after a 15-20 miles of hike.
