I use it weekly mtn biking and it does what it should. Wish the pockets were bigger on the side like their older one which is able to carry the battery for the lights. Overall you cannot go wrong w/ Camelbaks.

Comments about Camelbak Camelbak Montara 45 oz. Hydration Lumbar Pack:
This an update to my purchase of the camelbak hydration pack. The quality is fantastic and I have found that I can place a fold-away dog water bowl under the flap (or in place of the bladder for rough mountain bike rides during winter months). My bike holds two water bottles/cages and I can easily keep him (and me) easily hydrated : )

Bladder removes easily to access additional tubing.
The water remained cold after five hours...oh yea!!!
The storage compartments work great and keep things secure. Extremely happy with my purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone : )

Comments about Camelbak Camelbak Montara 45 oz. Hydration Lumbar Pack:
The bladder barely holds 1 litre, not 45 oz as stated. The adjustments are awkward at best, I have a 34" waist and I had to cinch it all the way to keep it from working its way down over my hips. The drinking tube is a joke....it's so short that I (5'8") had to pull it taught and bend over to get it to reach my mouth. Lastly, it's hard to clean as the bladder is not easily removable. Camelbak should go back to the drawing board on this model. It couldn't have been properly tested.
