Comments about Camelbak Camelbak HOSS 100 Oz. Hydration Pack:
This is a well thought out bag. I researched similar products from Dakine, but while stylish, none of them had the important technical features that I needed in an Epic Mountain Biking pack. The Hoss has enough room for tools and spare parts, lunch, camera, water, and food. It carries comfortably and is extremely well vented, and best of all has a completely waterproof main compartment that has a dry bag closure. The compartment is more difficult to access than a zippered closure but if I am ten miles from the car and the heavens open up, I need my warm clothes and electronic devices to stay dry. This is the only pack on the market that will allow for that event that is so common here in Colorado. I intended to use the Hoss for just mountain biking but it ended up being big enough to use for commuting to work with enough room for my macbook, coffee, and some paperwork and able to prevent the annoying sweaty back. Not many retailers sell this thing. Only one store in Boulder (just over the hill from me) listed it and not many on the internet have it, but it is hands down the best bag out there for its intended use.
