This is one great pack. I bought one of these for myself and one for my son. there is enough room to carry gear for an overnight trip or and extended day hike. We hiked the Gettysburg battlefields in August and the huge 100 oz reservoir was the ticket. Aside from the main storage compartment, there are many roomy pockets. I especially liked the two pockets on the waist belt. There is enough room in them to store my binoculars, a first aid kit, cell phone, and a compass within easy reach.
