I'm a fussy boot buyer and wanted goretex lined boots at a reasonable price with with no stitching in the uppers around the toe area that could,eventually fail. I wear them, every day, all day, to work. I didn't want a "heavy boot," since I have a bad knee joint and work, every day. These "fit the bill."

I got these after my doctor recommended a good walking shoe to help alleviate my back problems. These are lightweight, comfortable, warm (a little too warm during summer for my tastes), well padded (I'm accustomed to work boots with little or no padding, so for the first few days these felt like I had pillows on my feet), and provide good ankle support IMO. I've been wearing them almost daily for about a year, and they're as comfortable now as the day I received them.

These were comfortable right out of the box and they look pretty good, too. I can wear them to work to break them in even though they really dont need it. Not sure about durability yet. I like this boot alot. I just bought it, so I haven't worn it out much. But I have worn it a few times in the snow. I sprained my ankle a couple months ago, so when wearing this shoe I feel more stable and surefooted than with sneakers or dress shoes.

The dark leather seems to scuff easily, so my initial though was that the leather might be too soft. After having a 2' x 1/4" steel plate fly out of the drill, at work, and into my toe (OUCH!), I can say that the leather did slice a little, but what could you expect... Overall, so far, this shoe has proven very comfortable, dry, and warm. I would suggest this shoe for most any casual, outdoor, or recreational, activities.

Right out of the box, I took these on a 90-minute hike thru the woods in 5 inches of snow....and did the same everyday for the next week. No breaking-in period needed...they're very comfortable on day one. Not a single molecule of water got thru to my socks.
Great support and stability. Easy to insert my custom orthotics.
