I bought this jacket to take with me when I go to South America; The jacket is very lightweight and breathable and by far the best deal I have seen on the internet.

Wow! This SD Hurricane jacket is a well-made waterproof breathable rain jacket at a fantastic price! I ordered this in Small, Tile Blue color, to replace my Marmot Phoenix that I've outgrown. The color is a beautiful light aqua, and the material is lightweight, not stiff, like my Marmot jacket. Well-placed zip vents running from underarm to wrist, and large zip front pockets will really assist with venting. I wish there was an interior zip pocket, but not a dealbreaker. Sleeves are long, but I have short arms, and They can be made tighter at the cuffs with the velcro closures. Hood is good, doesn't restrict your vision, and has a slight peak to protect your face. Fit is roomy enough to wear over my LLB fleece in colder wet weather. And, I love the lower, tapered back hem, which will protect your behind from the elements! Love the included stuff sack, too; very convenient for hiking and travel.

Comments about Sierra Designs Sierra Designs Hurricane Parka for Women:

I love the length of the parka. For a long torso it fits well, whereas the jacket would feel too short. The fit is relaxed and feels a bit wide, but it allows for layering. The only major con is that the velcro is a bit aggressive and my left sleeve sometimes attaches to the velcro on the left pocket.
An awesome parka for a cheap price!

Comments about Sierra Designs Sierra Designs Hurricane Parka for Women:

This is the perfect overcoat! Just a bit longer in back to keep one's buns dry, a slight bill on the hood to keep one's glasses dry, Velcro closures for wrists, pockets and zipper fly. The Velcro on the pockets is a bit aggressive for the purpose (it's hard to undo), but that's the only complaint I have.

I've purchased many coats looking for something to keep me warm and dry from my car to the store but cool enough to keep wearing while I work (I work in a number of stores per day, about an hour in each). Tough bill to fill, but this jacket does it!

It's not only breathable, but also has zippered vents under the arms, which is again, perfect for my purposes.

I only wish I knew what size I'll be when this jacket wears out so I can buy a replacement now, while they're still available!
