I just received these in the mail and was slightly dissapointed when I tried them on. They're plenty big in the foot, but above the ankle feels quite tight. I tried loosening them, i tried bending them but nothing seems to help. They almost feel as if they're pinching, they remind me a lot of ice skates with the fit, very snug and grips your ankle in place, they really don't bend at all. I know if I got another size up they'd be too big so I'm kind of at a loss.

I bought these when we go to Wisconsin for the winter (I am from California) to keep my feet warm and keep me from slipping in ice and they did just that. I would wear them everywhere we went. I even used them when we went hiking or any walking activity in the snow/cold and they were great. The only negative thing I would say if you are not used to wearing boots, they rub a bit at the top of your ankle at first. Wear good comfy socks. I also got one 1/2 size up which was much better too. Good shoes.
