it does ok in really cold nights but you have to layer to keep warm. really wind resistant but can get drafty from bellow. in slightly warmer times the jacket doesnt really breathe all that well.
i have a few similar jackets and this one is by far the best i have found. the quality is exactly what you would expect from North Face, and it is durable. i know this because i was wearing it when i went over the bars of my dirtbike going about 30 into lose dirt and rocks, besides some scuffs on the jacket it held up quite well.

The jacket is well made, as expected from North Face. My only complaint, actually more of a pet peeve, is I just don't like the collar being a different color from the jacket.

It clings a little - not easy to put on/off - otherwise it would be perfect. Sleeves are on the long side but acceptable (6' 190lbs 34/35 sleeves).
