As a ski patrolman I use these gloves whenever I have a non-emergent job to do, i.e., shoveling snow, digging snow pits, etc. The only negetive aspect is that the gauntlet/cuff is not long enough to protect my wrist from the cold, otherwise it's a good, sturdy, work glove.
