I've worn out two pairs of Komperdell hiking poles in the past six or so years. I hike a lot and never go without them. These have been great poles, but I really like the easy lock mechanism of the Black Diamond poles. Also looking forward to seeing the difference the shock absorption capability makes.

These are the most versatile poles I have ever used. Great price on an above average product from an awesome supplier. Really like this product.

Prefer these over the Komperdell poles because they lock in place and never slip while using them. Also the grips are contoured a little bit better and the straps are superior to none. Leki doesn't offer antishock and locking mechanism anywhere near this price! Use them to help with my Tarptent and need the snaplock to ensure a good ridgeline on the tent. Buy them, you won't be sorry!
