Comments about Coleman Coleman 8D Retro Lantern w/Remote Control:
Prior to purchasing this lantern I bought Cabela's 24-LED lantern and it was great as a "night lite" but not much more. It didn't have a "O-ring" seal to keep the rain out since I had to remove the D-size batteries to dry them out. The 3 volt washer size battery on the remote only lasted a dozen or two times and failed. I found the "Coleman 8D Retro Lantern w/Remote Control" on the Internet and liked what I saw so I ordered it. So far it is WAY superior to the Cabela lantern. Puts out a light like the Coleman gas lantern. I like the option of two light settings.
