Bought this cook system for a trip with my son to Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior north of the UP. GREAT stove! We hiked 75 miles in 5 days carrying everything we needed to survive in our packs. The GSI Pinnacle Duelist Cook System was our mess kit of choice for the entire trip. Easy to use and compact, we recommend it highly and without reservation.

I have used this cook set several times and totally love it! If it is just me, you can leave out a bowel and put food in the pot as well. The bowels have a layer of neoprene that keep the hottest of foods easy to hold with bare hands. the sipper lid was great too! This is the most perfect cook set I have ever used! Clean up was easy too, and the bag doubles as a sink bag. You can cook with the lid on, I know it is plastic, but I torture tested this cook set and it held up with no problems!
