Comments about MSR MSR SweetWater Microfilter:
Only used this new filter once...at the Colorado River at the end of the Tanner Trail along the rapids. This was mid-March when water was needed to make it back up the 9 miles of steep terrain in which no other water is present. I suppose a secondary attachment can be purchased and should be if waters are expected to be turbid, which the Colorado definitely was. The water quickly overpowered the filter, forcing most of the pumped water out the PRV (pressure release valve) and not into the water bottles. In short, filtering was slow-going, but probably works a lot better in clearer water.
