You can flip the protective tough plastic guard off the top to have better access to clean the valve and allow to dry better after cleaning. In meetings, it squeaks as air goes back in after drinking. Works well for cycling but does not replace my camelbak which I prefer. I might use this for gatorade, so I don't gunk up my camelbak which is harder to clean.
