I originally got it, because I was getting a little worried about shoving my tent into a bag the size of a sock, and don't like hunting around for all the other parts of the tent. This is a nice piece of gear if you like to keep your stuff organized. It has ample room for the tent, fly, poles and stakes (you could probably throw a footprint in there too.) It wraps around and keeps everything protected as well.

However, that being said; if you like to keep your tent packed as small as possible, then this is not the item for you.

Bottom line: great for keeping your tent protected and organized, but you will sacrifice space in your pack in order to make it happen.
