Comments about MSR MSR Ground Hog Stake Kit:
I used these stakes to set up my tent in a public campground where the ground was VERY hard and full of roots. Most folks around me were bending their stakes as they tried to drive them in. Mine drove right in using the back of a hatchet. Not a single bend or warp at all. However when I broke camp 4 days later, I had to use a claw hammer to get them started to pull them out. Couldn't budge them even pulling really hard on the cord loop. Also, the pull cord is supposed to be reflective, but it isn't. But still, I REALLY like these stakes and will buy more of them. I've used some other brands of aftermarket stakes and these are by far the best. Plus very lightweight and compact for backpacking.
