My wife and I use this for our Golite Shangri La 2 Tarp and Nest. We bought the poles because we take a lot of weekend kayaking trips and have no use for trekking poles. The poles are sturdy, compact and easy to use. We ordered the regular size poles and they were too long for the nest and tarp. I made a minor adjustment by taking the cap off of the end of the pole (using pliers), untying the shock cord and removing one section of the pole. I then retied the cord and placed the cap back on. It now has 3 sections instead of 4. It was no trouble, now it's even lighter and more compact.
