Performing a Search:

  • You can search for any item on our website by entering a word in the Search box from any page on top navigation bar.
     
  • Enter your keyword(s) and click GO and our user-friendly search will find it.
     
  • The search on our menu bar has only one field. You may enter as much information in that field as you'd like (however bear in mind that the less keywords you enter the more results you'll get).
     
  • You may also ask for something specific, such as size, color, and designer.
     
  • No need to enter "and" "or" "with" in your search.
     
  • Advanced Search This links to a page on which you can do more precise searches.
     

 

Search Tips:

  • Doing a search on SunnySports.com was meant to be easy. Simply type one or more search terms (the words or phrase that best describe the information you want to find) into the search box and hit 'GO'. In response, SunnySports.com user-friendly search will produces a results page: a list of products related to your search terms, with the most relevant products appearing first, then the next, and so on.
     
  • When doing a keyword search try using a broad criteria, such as Sleeping Bags or Tents or Stoves. (You will be able to refine your search results afterward.)
     
  • Our search will find you even misspelled keywords, however try using the correct spelling for better results.
     
  • Searches are not case sensitive, so whether you use upper case, lower case or a combination is irrelevant. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will return the same results.
     
  • Our search engine will also perform Synonym searches (A word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word or other words in a language) If you want to search not only for your search term but also for its synonyms.
     
  • You can narrow your search by including the brand and category for which you are looking.
     
  • You can enter any number and combination of words you want. However, if you enter too many words, our Web site may not be able to match an item to your search words.
     
  • If your search yields no results, please refine your keyword to a more general term, check first for misspellings of your keyword(s).
     
  • The fewer and more general your keywords, the more results you'll get. "Snorkel" will display every type of fin. "Dry Snorkel" will display dry snorkels before other snorkels, and "Flexible Dry Snorkel" will narrow your search even more.
     
  • Putting quotation marks around your search terms will not give you exact phrase, for phrase search select exact phrase, on the results page
     
  • Word variations (stemming) we use stemming technology. Thus, when appropriate, it will search not only for your search terms, but also for words that are similar to some or all of those terms.
     
  • Automatic exclusion of common words ignores common words and characters such as "where" "how" "and" "with" "or", as well as certain single digits and single letters, because these terms rarely help narrow a search and can slow search results. SunnySports.com  will indicate if a common word has been excluded by displaying a message that the common word "_____" has been ignored.
     
  • Advanced Search This links to a page on which you can do more precise searches.
     
  • The search will only search on item titles, so don't expect to get a result on words within a feature description
     

 

Understanding the results page:

  • Doing a search on SunnySports.com was meant to be easy. Simply type one or more search terms (the words or phrase that best describe the information you want to find) into the search box and hit 'GO'. In response, SunnySports.com user-friendly search will produces a results page: a list of products related to your search terms, with the most relevant products appearing first, then the next, and so on.
     
  • When you do a search on our site, your page is replaced by a search results page. If you’d prefer to keep your main page open,  open up a new browser window on which to perform your search.
     
  • If products match your criteria, you will see those items on the Search Results page.
     
  • By default you will get maximum 20 search results per page. Your Search results may continue on subsequent pages, in which case you'll find linking page numbers at the bottom and top of your search results page. You may jump to any page listed or to the last page if you wish. You can view more results matching your search by using the page controls ("page: 1 2 3 etc") on the top & bottom of the results page, or click next previous, last or first page, you can also navigate the results pages after going into an item page and clicking the previous/next navigation buttons on the right hand side on top & bottom of the page.
     
  • In the products results list, you can see a thumb images of an item (and a full size image by hovering on the thumb image), SKU, item title (from which your search term will be bolded, price, stock and the ability to add the item to your cart or wish list directly from the results list (only on items with no configurations) , if an item has different prices for different sizes or colors, you will see starting at above the price,  you can click on either the item thumb image or item title, to go into the item page, to view more info and configurations.
     
  • The number following each link under Category and Brand name results refers to the quantity of products associated with each.
     
  • Clicking on any underlined item will take you to the associated web page. You may click on the description or image associated with any of the products to go to specific product detail pages, to add the item to your Shopping Cart. (or you may add an item with no configurations color, sizes, etc directly from the list page, without even have to go into the item page).
     
  • Re-sort the entire list by clicking on the column headings (You can sort by brand, product name, Sears #, or price); or
    Add an item to your shopping cart by clicking the 'Add to Cart' or 'Add to Wish List' button. You can use the tabs to the right of the "View by" label to sort and filter your search results by various criteria. To sort the products shown on the Search Results page by price, relevance, brand, stock Click on the up or down arrow (ascending or descending) on the "Sort by" menu.
     
  • Results may include a list of up to 200 matching products. More than 40 results, may be a sign that you should narrow your search for a smaller, more accurate result list.
     
  • If going to an item page, you may click the Back to List button, to get back to your results list, or simply click the back button on your browser, you may also click Continue Shopping after Adding an item to Cart or Wish list.

 

Refining your results:

  • The Search results will you give you 3 types of results, Product results showing you actual list of products with pictures and titles, Section name if your search match a section name on our website, you can click on the section name and get only items in this section, Category and Brand name results through which you can further refine your results or just click on a particular category or brand, to see only the items of your choice.
     
  • To refine your Search results, use the links on the left side of the Search Results page. The links displayed are based on the keyword you used to initiate a Search and reflect attributes relevant to your Search.
     
  • For example, a Search using the keyword "Suits" will produce results in men's and women's & kids fins. Clicking on "men's" will narrow the product results displayed to men's-only items.
     
  • Refine your results select from Brand Manufacturer.
