Shopper Will this shoes work for supination?
KEVIN F I am not sure; supination is not a problem I have. However, please note that the shoe is pretty sturdy (stiff), while being quite comfortable. However, assuming the below definition properly explains your problem, I don't think this hiking boot will be flexible enough:
"Supination in the foot occurs when a person appears "bow-legged" with their weight supported primarily on the lateral side of their feet (5th Metatarsal)."
You might want to try a hiking shoe that is made out of a canvas type gortex material, like a typical LL Bean hiking boot, it might have more give and take. The other option would be to buy the Timberland and test it out in your home (carpet area) for a week or two, I think you have 30 days to return. Hope this feedback helps - good luck. BTW, this timberland is really a terrific (comfortable) hiking boot. So if you decide to try it out, you will like the look and "potential" the feel.
