I originally bought these in my size, 7.5. They were toe-pinchingly painful. The half size larger, even with a thickish athletic sock, fit great; be careful not to lace them too tight or your toes will cramp. Hiked along the New River in Belize and around the Mayan site Lamanai... my feet stayed dry and it was like walking on air, even after hours of hiking. Would probably be great for city touring, walking for hours on the punishing concrete/stone/asphalt, but i'm too vain for that... even though these are really sharp looking shoes.

I am an appraiser and work outside most of the time. I usually wear a 7.5M to 8M. I ordered an 8 but it was too small. I exchanged for an 8.5M and they fit perfectly. I started wearing them immediately and did not have to break them in. These are great comfortable shoes. Thanks.
