LYNN M I have a gas stove, but I see no reason why it wouldn't, cooking waffles is just like making pancakes as far and timing and doneness. You can always turn over the iron and peak and see if it is done and continue cooking without messing up the waffle. I think you just have to get the temperature regulated. Your iron will be seasoned and you can use butter or spray oil to prevent sticking. Just a little practice and you will love this product, nothing beats cast iron.
