I have had a number of these and other Princeton Tec headlamps. I have given several to friends. They are great. This one I use for a back up or as a lighter model to the Apex headlamp. The people at Princeton Tec are great too. I had a headlamp mallfunction once and they sent me a new one quickly. Their headlamps resist water in heavy rain and are brighter than other brands. Batteries last a very long time. I use them for everything from camping to riding a bike at night to working on the car in the dark.

I have only used the product a couple times now, but find it to be extremely useful. I have never used a headlamp before so I may be biased just because of the ease of use with this type of product compared to a regular flashlight.
I have used it camping and hiking. It was perfect for both. Light weight, strong beam, adjustable beam, and small in size so it's easy to put in your pocket when you dont need it.
The only issue I had was that to make it as stable as I wanted it, the strap seemed to give me a bit of a headache; however, I think this would happen with any strapped headlamp.
I strongly recommend changing to a headlamp if you are a camping, fishing or hiking enthusiast.

I realize that most people probably buy this item for sporting purposes, but I bought it for my husband for different reasons. My husband is a farmer, and he has been doing shop work in a building that doesn't have adequate lighting. I gave him this headlamp for Christmas, and he loves it! It's so much easier for him to work on equipment now that he has two free hands. Also, it has made it safer for him to go check grain bins at night, because he doesn't have to hold a flashlight while he's climbing ladders. It is very bright, and has a very long battery life. I recommend this product :)
