Shopper Why would one want to purchase the unit with red-LEDs? What is the advantage aside from preserving night vision?
COL M I don' t know of any advantage aside from preserving night vision. I have not used the red, but I did try the green. It was unsatisfactory. It produced green circles instead of a smooth beam of light. I would stick with the standard white LEDs. And I might add that I would not consider any other light. The Apex has served me very well. If I had to purchase another one today it would be another Apex.
