Shopper How is the hat size determined? I wear a size 7 1/2 fitted hat. What size corresponds with that size?
LESLIE A J I don't know what size hat I wear, but with the under chin string it should fit. I have long hair and could wear this with no problem. Loved the hat, it worked wonderfully on safari in the Serengeti and climlbing Kilimanjaro

ROBERT P I wear a 7 5/8 - 7 3/4 and I bought the XL. Fits great and really nice when the sun is beating down on you all day.
GREG D I wear a 7 3/4 hat size. This hat fits wonderfully. It has a cinch in the back so you can tweak the fit. Mine is XL and you should go with XL as well. L fits 7 3/8 so that may be a bit tight. There is fit guide on the outdoor research webpage.
