I wore these gloves to a 2 day mountaineering/ice climbing course and they were extremely warm. I usually wear gloves so I was a bit nervous about being cold but these gloves worked really well. I was impressed with the warmth.

I have circulation issues. My fingers go numb very quick, even in conditions a normal person would not need gloves. These gloves work great for me, and they are not to big to still use my hiking poles.
