Shopper i wear size 13 La Sportive makalu boots, any suggestion to go for the xl or xxl size?
DENNIS S Don't know! I war a 10 boot and the L fits fine. They are roomy. Sunny Sports has been great for returns (I had one, and no questions asked when the size was wrong).
CHRISTINE P Ok I wear a size 42.5 european or about a sz mens 8 and have that same boot. I have a OR Research Crocodile gaitor that is a sz S I can't tell you which size will fit better but what I can tell you is that it is important that the fit around the bottom of the gaitor needs to be relatively snug. ( very little gap or space between boot and gaitor) otherwise if you are postholing in deep snow the snow will get forced up between the boot and gaitor and negate the whole intention and effectiveness of having the gaitor. I think the thing to do would be to suck it up and buy both sizes and return the size that doesn't fit or go to a local retailer with your boots on and try on the different gaitors and then go online and buy the one that fits. CRAIG K I wear size 12 Asolo 520s and I have XLs... they fit pretty well. Bigger would be too big I think. XL should be fine for you.
