Comments about The North Face Litho 18 Pack:

This is a great bag for mountain biking. It is lightweight, has good ventilation on the back, is relatively waterproof (I sprayed mine with some Grangers XT to top it off), and has durable construction.

There is one major drawback; the chest strap adjustment is barely long enough for a 38" chest, while for some reason, the waist adjustment goes to what seems like 40"+! I'm not sure what TNF were thinking as they designed this.

It includes a North Face branded red rain cover, size XS. It stows into a zippered pocket at the bottom of the pack. This pocket also holds a piece of netting with hooks that lock into the loops on the top corners of the bag. The straps that hold the netting into place are adjustable up to a couple of inches, so it can fit a range of helmet sizes. I use a large Nutcase helmet that is more of a skateboarding/BMX type than a road helmet and it fits well.

There is a fleece-lined waterproof pocket at the very top outside of the bag, just big enough to store some sunglasses or an average sized smartphone. There is one pocket on each side of the waist strap, the right side is a mesh pocket. On the inside, there is a zippered mesh compartment at the top with a keychain clip inside it. Behind the main compartment, there is a resevoir pocket with a clip; the tube exit is at the very top of the bag near the handle. There are 2 tube guide straps on each shoulder strap.

There are reflective silver elements on the loops, which helps at night, although it's not quite enough for me. When I'm riding on the road I clip a keychain safety flasher to one of the loops.
