i wonder if this jacket is suitable for rainy days and temperatures of like (upper) 70's. I am looking for a summer jacket, thus very light- which would be able to protect me from pouring rain. it should be light and breathing.
The Prophecy should work great for your needs. It is very lightweight (the HyVent DT material eliminates the need for a liner), yet very dependable, as it is both waterproof and breathable. Great for that summer afternoon downpour.
