SunnySports S Yes, there is a huge core difference. The Terra 55 is a women specific design. What this means is the pack is designed to fit to a womens body shape and ensure a more comfortable fit. The shoulder straps are more curved to fit on the shoulders better and less on the chest area for a womens comfort. I always recommend women getting women specific packs. I hpe that helps.
